A MAN has been arrested in Alicante for using his 11-year old son to steal more than €5,000 from her ex-partner. The woman initially reported the theft to police thinking that a stranger had stolen the money, which was hidden in a box. Police investigations found no signs of forced entry.
The child later confessed that his father – who separated from the mother last year – had told him to bring him the money as it was his.
The man was released after he had given evidence to investigators of the Central District Police Station and returned some of the money stolen.
