POLICE are investigating the discovery of human remains in the boot of a burned car in the district of Campanillas (Malaga). The only part of the body which remained intact was the torso, and the initial appearance was that the arms and legs had been cut off before the fire, although this is yet to be determined by forensic pathologists.
Police are trying to identify the owner of the vehicle.
They also found a watch and some teeth which helped identify the victim, a Malaga man who had a criminal record for drug-related crimes.
Police also found metal fragments thought to be bullet casings.
