A 53-year-old Spanish man was bitten by a snake Saturday evening while hiking in Puig Campana, Finestrat. He used his mobile phone to call for help and was rescued by the Guardia Civil and taken by ambulance to Villajoyosa Hospital as a precaution; following treatment he is said to be doing fine.
