Nijar man reports ex-wife for kidnapping his daughter

A MAN from Nijar has reported his wife because she has allegedly prevented him from seeing their six-year-old daughter for more than three weeks.The couple is getting a divorce and had worked out a visitation routine over the past six months. The woman closed the beauty salon where she worked and sent him a message saying she would look after the girls.

The girl’s maternal grandparents won’t let him see her either and if he goes to pick her up at school her mother takes her instead. He claims that she will not answer his calls, which is why he decided to present a formal complaint to the Guardia Civil for kidnapping.

Prior to this, he has reported his wife 20 times since they separated, including for child abuse, failing to take the girl to school, and falsely reporting that he abused her.

He also says he pays a private school for the girl every month, as well as the water, light and rent on the house where his wife and daughter live, as well as her car insurance, and would be willing to pay maintenance but simply wants the right to see his daughter.
