Tragedy strikes Denia yet again

DENIA has had more than its fair share of tragedy recently as following the recent fatal crash the town was yet again subject of a tragic traffic accident resulting in the death of four middle aged women. The victims and the driver were all associated with the Police’s National Crime Squad and it appears that the vehicle, a Mitsubishi pick up truck, left the road and went into a barranco, killing four passengers instantly.

No other vehicle was involved and the Police are now carrying out their own investigation into the causes of the accident.

The added irony is that the victims died as a result of travelling in the open rear of the truck on what was intended to have been a day trip out. The van rolled over leaving the road and without protection the passengers were flung from the vehicle.
