THE Las Lagunas Theater (Mijas) was packed out on Friday by the new band ‘Maktub’ with a performance of their debut album by the same name. They captivated their audience with a diverse show of amazing Flamenco and fusions of Orchestra through to Drum and Bass using a multitude of instruments and vocals throughout.
The three founding members – there are 12 in total – Ale, Muni and Ismael formed the band after receiving more than 200.000 hits on a MySpace Demo in 2005.
One attendee described a ‘positive buzz’ at the show and cocktail after party, which included well-known and established guests from the music industry.
In all the night was a fabulous show-case for these young musicians breaking into a notoriously difficult scene.
