A 27-year-old woman was attacked in her home in Vilafranca by another woman with a knife. In the past few months she had received death threats, according to her Guardia Civil statement. She was alone in the home she shares with her father and brother when the doorbell rang.
When she opened the door the woman, who was dressed in black and had her face covered pushed the door open and hit her in the head and then forced her to sit on the sofa.
During this time she stabbed the victim in her leg with a kitchen knife and threw a photo of her ex-husband at her. Following the attack, the victim called 112 emergency services to explain what happened and ask for assistance.
Guardia Civil officers are investigating the case.
Interviews with neighbours confirmed the girl’s story that she had been receiving death threats and just the Sunday before a note had been left on her car windscreen with a photo of the husband she has been separated from for a long time.
