MIGUEL ANGEL NAVARRO, a Nijar man whose story reached the press after his many protests has reported that he was attacked by a man who he asked for money. Navarro has protested up a crane, sent a letter to Zapatero and stood outside Congress wearing nothing but a nappy.
In the past three years he has protested against the way he lost everything he had earned as a self-employed lorry driver after third parties failed to pay him for work he had done.
Last month, he claims he was beaten up by a man who he asked for the money he owes him at a bar in Campohermoso. He was taken to the ER at El Toyo, Retamar.
He claims he had simply asked the man if he knew anyone who could give him work.
