JAVEA’S Partido Popular party say that if elected, they would hand over 5 per cent of the town hall budget for the public to administrate, according to their latest election communiqué. The estimated budget for 2011 is €37.4 million and if true to their word, €1,870,000 would be placed in the community kitty.
This would be followed by upping the anti during the next term to a whacking €7,480,000. PP leader, Juan José Castelló, says that transparency is the key factor to successful management and not only would they involve the public in the decision making process, they would also issue monthly management reports outlining the objectives and achievements of government to keep citizens bang up to date.
The PP also plan to invest in inter communication by increasing digital technology facilities of the town hall allowing more people to access information on-line.
The PP promises are of course all subject to the party being first across the finishing line and getting a majority agreement to launch the plan.
