MORE than half of the applicants for rental housing with the Department of Environment, Water, Urbanism and Housing system are men aged 35 and under. According to a report by the network, which brings together housing applicants with landlords; 52 per cent of applicants are male and 48 per cent women.
Within the Valencian Region, 54 per cent want to live in the Valencian Province, 28 per cent in the Alicante and 17 per cent in the Castellon Province.
The municipalities with the highest number of requests for housing are, in descending order, Valencia, Alicante, Castellon, Torrent, Denia and Callosa de Segura.
Foreign Residents represented 41 per cent of applicants in the Region, although this percentage rises to 48 per cent in the Castellon Province.
