Man tied up in home by hooded intruders

GUARDIA CIVIL arrested four people for bounding and gagging a 72-year-old man in his home in Valor, Granada, in order to steal from him. The intruders, wearing hoods, allegedly broke the glass of the front door to gain access to the house and once inside, pushed and beat the man before tying him up so they could search the house.

They stole €65 and two mobile phones. Once they left, the victim was able to untie himself and get help. He was attended at the local health centre.

One of the thieves was arrested when he intended to exchange the money at a bank in Ugijar, once the Guardia Civil found they were the same notes stolen from the house.

However, he had not actually taken part in the robbery, but led the officers to the culprits, one aged 20, and the other two, who are father and son, aged 45 and 20.
