THE Dell XPS 17 has bolted on some 3D finery and is a great all-round multi-media entertainment system with a brilliant HD screen. Inside is Intel’s new Core i7-2630QM at 2GHz, 500GB of storage on two drives, 4GB of memory, an Nvidia GTX 55M graphics card and Windows 7 Home Premium.
It also boasts a Blue-ray drive, four USBs, a HDMI port, a mini display port and an integrated sub woofer.
While it is find for multi-tasking, office apps and streaming HD content, people who use their laptops mostly for gaming should probably opt for Alienware.
