TORREVIEJA is set to get a direct bus connection to Alicante’s El Altet airport as of next week. “The service will operate 365 days a year, with eight round-trips per day between September and June, and 10 in July and August,” explained Mario Flores, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, who signed the grant.
The proposed schedule will start at 7am, and the last service will be at 10pm. The route will travel on the AP-7 with the 63km trip taking about an hour. A long-distance bus especially equipped for transporting baggage and accessible for people with mobility problems is to be used. Tickets can be purchased on the plane and on the internet at €6.79, although special rates will be available to pensioners and large families.
There is also the possibility that some airlines will include the bus trip in the price of the ticket.
