British woman raped in Benalmadena hotel

A BRITISH woman who was on holiday with her husband in the resort of Benalmadena has allegedly been gassed and raped inside her hotel room. Some sort of gas was pumped into the roof-top room in the Hotel Siroco where the mother-of-two, 56, was assaulted, said her husband.

The sex attacker struck as the Greater Manchester couple were nearing the end of their holiday on the Costa del Sol.

Apparently the attacker fled the hotel room naked when the couple woke up. The husband also claimed he escaped with a large amount of money.

‘I think he somehow gassed us and then came in. My wife woke me screaming my name at around 4am and I realised someone was in the room with her,’ the 55-year-old man told the Sun.

A National Police spokesperson confirmed they were investigating the alleged attack and said that so far no one had been arrested in connection with the incident.

A Foreign Office spokesman said it had not received a report of the attack.
