DEADLY violence again came to Benidorm last week when National police arrested two men who were later charged with the murder of a Moroccan national in the Rincon de Loix area of the town. The victim is reported as being 32, and who died after falling to the ground during a fight.
The accused are two Spanish nationals who were employed at a nightclub on Calle Majorca in the town. The man was transferred to Alicante’s general hospital but died the following day. It is not clear whether the victim died as a result of injuries sustained in the fight, or from the fall. Investigations are continuing.
Altercations are common in the area but the last serious incident occurred in 2005 when a British man was sentenced to eight years prison for the shooting of another.
