POLICE were called to a hotel in Valencia’s port district last week, where a group of 15 British holidaymakers were causing havoc. Hotel staff were alerted to a disturbance on the fourth floor where the British tourists were staying. Police were summoned and were greeted by a cloud of vapour from fire extinguishers that had been set off by the drunken party.
Spanish daily Europa Press described the scene as ‘a riot’, and police arrested the entire group whose ages ranged from 21 to 36.
The party had only checked into the hotel that morning, and reports from the hotel said they had been ‘drinking continuously since their arrival.’
The carpet damage alone will cost more than €13,000 to repair, according to the hotel. The British group were all arrested for an appearance in court.
