Malaga pays homage to the Armed Forces

THE Day of the Armed Forces was held last weekend in Malaga, culminating in an event to pay homage to those who have given their life for Spain presided by the King and Queen.

Some 50,000 people took to the streets of Malaga on Sunday, braving the hot weather to witness the military parade and the arrival of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, accompanied by the Prince and Princess of Asturias, as well as the Minister of Defense, Carme Chacon, the President of the Junta de Andalucia, Jose Antonio Griñan, and the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre.
