BIOPARC Fuengirola has announced the birth of a binturong or bearcat, a species which hasn’t reproduced in Spain for more than 20 years. Zoos in the USA and Australia have attempted to breed the species without success. Carers have not yet been able to approach the baby as the mother is very protective, so the gender is not yet known.
