THE Huelva businessman who in May 2010 hit the news for offering false work contracts in Dubai with promises of earning €600 per day, is back in prison. Jose Manuel Garrido, known as ‘El Tiburon’ (the Shark) has now been imprisoned in Zaragoza for failing to attend a trial for fraud.
He was unable to attend as he was in prison in Huelva for failing to attend another trial in which he was accused of a €400,000 fraud for a luxury car import project where the vehicles were offered for sale on the internet. The victims paid for the cars but never received them.
He got out on €6,000 bail on May 11, just a day after the Zaragoza court issued a search and arrest warrant against him for a similar scam.
