Summer is officially here in Almeria.

It’s official. The summer season has arrived in Almeria for two reasons. Firstly The Road Train (or Wally Trolley as I call it) is now running from Vera Playa to Garrucha. Secondly,  The Water Park is open. In my opinion these factors indicate summer has arrived.

I enjoy these attractions in our beautiful area.

There is no better way of getting to Garrucha in the summer months to go for a walk around the night market, have a drink and a bite to eat whilst the children spend their pocket money at the fair eating candy floss and any other rubbish they can find.

For €4 return this is undoubtedly a bargain and the girls love to sit at the back of the Wally Trolley waving at the cars trying to see how many they can get to beep their horn.

Good cheap harmless fun going round the houses but I wouldn’t want it to be my daily commute.

The Water Park is another staple favourite for both adults and children alike.

No summer would be complete without a couple of trips to the Parque Acuatico. I also like the fact that if you show your residencia you get a 50% discount.

I don’t know if I will go quite as often this year as Hollie and Maisie are now old enough to go on their own with friends so myself and Jessica have become surplus to requirements.
