A MAN had to be rushed to Torrecardenas Hospital in Almeria after he was kicked in the face by a mare which he was allegedly attempting to sexually abuse.
He had to undergo emergency facial surgery as many of the bones in his face were broken when he was kicked by the animal at a private property in El Ejido. He also had multiple bruises and suffered a haemorrhage.
According to the owner, it was not the first time the man had entered the property to be with the animals, although he did not report him.
Once released, he was identified by the Guardia Civil as he was illegally residing in Spain. He could be deported to his country of origin.
