Attempted kidnap at Malaga shopping centre

A 70-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for allegedly attempting to snatch two little girls from the Rosaleda shopping centre in Malaga. The two girls, aged five and seven, were with their aunt, but at one point when they were alone, the man approached them, took them by the hands and began to walk towards the door.

One of them began to kick and shout for help and when the suspect went to cover her mouth, he let go of the other girl, who was able to run to a security guard for help.

The guard caught the man with the other girl and detained him until National Police arrived and arrested him on suspicion of illegal detention.

Security cameras showed that the man had been walking around the shopping centre for some time and had approached other minors.
