REPRESENTATIVES from 11 countries will attend the first International Macael Natural Stone Meeting which will be held in Almeria from June 27 to 29. The forum has been organised by the Council for Economy, Innovation and Science and has the support of the Spanish Foreign Commerce Institute and the Association of Andalucia Marble Businesses (AEMA).
Importers, distributors and wholesalers from the USA, Panama, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Russia, Belgium, the UAE, Poland, Germany, France and the UK will attend the events which begin with a talk by the Commercial Advisor for the Spanish Embassy in Miami, Mario F. Buisan, and will be followed by business meetings with foreign agents at the headquarters of AEMA in Macael.
The delegations will also visit the quarries, to see firsthand how marble is extracted, as well as several companies to see how marble goods are produced. They will also visit several emblematic buildings built in marble.
