A LARGE container ship, ‘Deneb’ capsized in Algeciras Port, prompting ecologists to demand more control. Three people sustained minor injuries. As a result concerns have risen about how the port would deal with a future environmental disaster.
Ecologists are calling for sturdy policies to attempt to prevent future dangers and the creation of a control centre for maritime traffic along the Strait to handle the average of 90,000 ships crossing the area annually.
The cause of the incident remains is being investigated.
