Benamargosa church restored
THE Bishop of Malaga, Jesus Catala, has inaugurated the 15th century Nuestra Señora de la Encarnacion Church in Benamargosa which has recently been restored to its original state.
Nerja students get free holiday
THE best students in Nerja are being awarded with a holiday in Valencia, all expenses paid, by the local town hall, for the second year running. The ten students with the best results are from the Sierra Almijara and El Chaparil high schools.
No help for Velez over tram
THE Junta de Andalucia has announced that it does not intend to give any help to Velez-Malaga Town Hall to prevent the tram service from ceasing to operate. The council has a debt of €2m with Travelsa.
