FOUR Almuñecar residents have each been sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay a fine of €540 for causing a forest fire. A Motril court ruled that in February 2005 they did not properly extinguish a fire they had started to burn olive tree branches collected after pruning trees in their farm.
