A NEW airline company has been created in Andalucia, with its headquarters in Malaga. Helitt Airlines, which intends to become a leader for regional, national and international flights, will begin operating this autumn with three planes.
The first of the planes, an ATR 72 for 66 passengers, has arrived at Granada-Jaen Airport from Ireland this week. Another two are due to arrive in July, and there are plans to expand the fleet with two more in 2012. Each plane costs €14m. The company says it intends to offer users high quality at affordable and competitive prices, but is not a low-cost airline.
