TWO young men were injured after falling from two separate balconies in Palma.
The first incident took place at 2.43am from the second floor of Hotel Playa Blanca de Sant Lorenç des Cadassar. He was taken to Manacor Hospital in serious condition, according to 112 emergency services.
The second incident took place a few hours later at 5.55am when a 26-year-old tourist fell from his hotel room at Dos Playas de Cala Ratjada. He was taken to Son Espases Hospital to be treated for serious head injury.
These two falls happened just days after a young man died after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Ibiza. Investigators believe that these falls were a result of people attempting to jump from one balcony to another, although roommates told police that the falls were an accident.
“The railings of the terraces are 1.2 meters tall, so it is unlikely that somebody will accidentally slip and fall,” said the hotel manager.
