BENALMADENA Town Hall representatives said the beach at Urbanization Torremuelle will have to wait until the end of September to have sand delivered as the influx of tourists makes it complicated to carry out the work now.
The sand which will be used is the excess accumulated in other areas of the town’s coastline, such as Malapesquera, which would have to be closed for at least 10 days. Access to Torremuelle beach for the lorries and machines carrying the sand is practically impossible and the work would have to be carried out from the N-340, closing at least one lane to traffic for the duration of the operation.
