A MAN, 45, was sentenced to four years in prison for slitting the throat of his girlfriend’s brother in Alicante in November 2008.
The victim’s 10 cm wound was about 10cm only required a few stitches.
Initially the judicial inquiry was for attempted murder, but the prosecutor changed this to causing injury with a ‘dangerous instrument.’ This is despite the report that the victim had his hands tied behind his back with a handkerchief at the time and the accused resisting arrest.
