NINE people were arrested for alleged money laundering of drug money in the Valencia, Alicante and Barcelona Provinces. Four were Spaniards, four Colombian and one Armenian.
This criminal organization was led by Luis Agustin Caicedo Velandia ‘Don Lucho’ who was convicted for drug trafficking and is serving time in a US prison.
‘Don Lucho’ was born in Bogota (Colombia) in 1947, specialized in drug trafficking and money laundering and was considered one of the most wanted drug lords.
Another 11 people were implicated during investigations and there have been seven International arrest warrants issued.
Of the 12 residences searched, six were in Cataluña, four in Valencia and two in Alicante.
