Almeria is the region’s province which has least increased the number of available hotel beds, mainly because of the economic crisis, according to the Tourism Council’s Balance of the Tourist Year in Andalucia.
Between 2007 and 2010, Almeria Province gained only 256 more hotel beds.
In Andalucia as a region, the number of beds has increased by six per cent despite the crisis, with Malaga at the top of the list. Last year, Andalucia had 1,774 hotels and apartments registered with 246,105 beds, 1.5 per cent more than the previous year.
