MORE than 100 parents protested in Plaza de la Libertad in Redovan for the second time against the privatization plans of Pasitos nursery.
They are concerned that the finance department has not promised that fees will remain the same and could potentially increase by 400 per cent. Parent’s association AMPA complained that the town hall refused to accept last week’s proposals.
“The town hall has tried convince us that the centre will be better by offering classes that we already have like English and psychomotor skills,” said spokesperson Jennifer Ruiz. They hope to be able to stop the privatization of the centre’s management.
Parents were accompanied by family, friends and their children. In this second demonstration Ampa collected signatures from those present, including representatives of 15-M protest movement.
