A 64-YEAR-old Uruguayan man living in Alicante was sentenced to three years in prison for collecting a parcel that contained 452.5g of cocaine at a post office June 2009.
The parcel had been sent from Argentina to Alcoy and was addressed to a person with the initials RAC. Judicial Police had detected that the package contained the illegal substance.
After he had signed for the parcel and was leaving the post office, Guardia Civil officers stopped him. He was also in the possession of a forged Argentinean identity card. Investigators suspect that a third party is also involved, although they have to been able to determine their identity.
