Arts and culture in Torrevieja

THE cartoon image of Las Meninas at the beach, by Alfonso Ortuño, is the feature on the cover of the summer magazine for Ars Creatio.

With an image that is fresh, fun and above all cultural, Ars Creatio presented its new publication in the courtyard of the municipal library of Torrevieja recently. On offer are a variety of cultural events ranging from the scientific to the poetic, from the technical to the story, along with the magazine’s usual poetry, music and education articles.

After the presentation of the magazine, Councillor for Culture and Tourism Luis María Pizana, along with artist Ortuño Alfonso himself, explained the development and work of the painter with a blank canvas and introduced the two exhibition halls, where the work of Alfonso Ortuño and Paqui Delgado Cano can be seen,

One of the most popular events from the last couple of summers makes a welcome return, the film-shows in the courtyard of the library, organized by Ars Creatio, which began last Friday with a full house.

It will continue every Friday during the month of August, offering the opportunity to attend during the summer evenings to the classics of cinema of all time. Admission is by invitation and details can be found in their new summer program.
