Pensioner ‘murdered’ by carer

A WOMAN and her boyfriend have been sent to prison without bail to await trial for allegedly murdering an elderly Castellon man. He was found in the doorway of his home with no signs of violence, but an autopsy revealed that he died from ‘asphyxia.

Investigations led police to the woman who cared for the victim as well as her boyfriend and they were arrested shortly after. The woman said that her partner had stolen the keys to break into the house of the 83-year-old victim.

The purpose was allegedly to burgle the property.
