THREE protesters of the 15-M movement were arrested in Elche.
They were accused of assaulting four police officers and a festival employee during last Thursday’s parade, according to town hall spokesman Pablo Ruz. About 50 members of the indignados (Indignants) 15-M movement had apparently applied to join the brass band.
The manager in charge of organizing the festivities agreed they could parade in front of an official delegation in front of the ambulance and police patrols. Police were asked to intervene because some of the protesters apparently pushed and shouted at the participants in the parade.
