A BUS passenger was arrested in Palma after he allegedly threatening the driver with a knife and stabbing several seats in the vehicle.

He had asked the driver to turn on the air-conditioning because it was too hot, when his request fell on deaf ears he apparently started smoking.

When the bus driver realised he was smoking he reminded him that smoking was not allowed on the bus. At this point the passenger reportedly drew a small knife from his pocket.

Police where called who later interviewed both the driver and several passenger witnesses of the incident.
