Briton stabbed in Albir pub fight

TWO men were seriously injured after being stabbed during a pub brawl at a cocktail bar in Albir, Guardia Civil sources said.

The 28-year-old Czech citizen and 53-year-old Brit were admitted to Villajoyosa Hospital. Altea Guardia Civil are investigating the assault to identify and arrest those responsible for the stabbings.

This is the second major brawl that was recorded in Alicante Province in the past 10 days. A 19-year-old was arrested in Novelda on attempted murder charges after stabbing a person in a car following an argument about traffic. The 32-year-old victim is still in Vinalopo Hospital in serious condition
