Malaga summer sales worse than expected

THE summer sales are officially over, but results have been worse than expected. For two months many businesses offered sale items up to 75 per cent off, but the public still has less money to spend.

“People are more careful, instead of buying five garments like they did before the recession, they only buy one,” said one Malaga store-owner, whose sales were 50 per cent less than last year.
