New gym in Torrevieja's Sport City area

THE opportunity to choose being fit or fat was made a little easier last week with the opening of Torrevieja’s new gymnasium, located in the new Sport City area beside the Tennis show-court.

Last year it was used for aerobics and fitness classes but the zone has been transformed into a first class gymnasium, with excellent prices for those who wish to keep or get, into shape.

Last week, Torrevieja’s Mayor Eduardo Dolon, a regular user of the old facility, inaugurated the most receipt addition to the ever-expanding Sports City.

The Gym effectively doubles the previous capacity offered and has a total of 440 square meters, divided into thee distinct areas: cardiovascular, ​​strength and functional training area. In total, 38 new exercise machines and numerous free weights are available and fitness professionals are on hand to help with advise on training methods and to ensure that you don’t hurt yourself or give yourself a heart attack!

Torrevieja’s gym offers a little of everything with one of the best price packages to be found anywhere at just €15 euros per month (45 euros per quarter). In addition, Torrevieja residents as well as those who play for one of the many sports clubs in the city of Torrevieja may use these facilities.

There are business people and residents for whom the opening hours probably won’t suit but for the moment, the gym is open from Monday to Saturday, weekdays from 9:00 to 13:00 and in the evening from17:00 to 22:00 hours (Monday to Friday) and Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 hours.
