THE former Mayor of La Viñuela, socialist Juan Millan, will enter prison today (Thursday) to serve a 27-month sentence for urban planning corruption.
There were more than 12 counts against him but he came to an agreement with the prosecutor to reduce the sentence. He will also be banned from holding public office.
He had previously been banned from public office for 15 years and six months, also for granting illegal licenses. He had been in office since 1995 and resigned from his position in February.
