Rosa Maria Cano’s holidays ‘interferes’ with meetings

THE Socialist PSOE spokesman in Mojacar, Manuel Zamora, complained that the mayor’s holidays had prevented meetings from being held.

He said Rosa Maria Cano “has gone on holiday quite happily disobeying the law regulating local regimes, which states that Mojacar Town Hall, due to the number of inhabitants, should held a plenary meeting every two months”.

When the municipal council was formed in July, it was approved that plenary meetings would be held every two months, on uneven months.

“Two months have passed” Zamora said, “and the first Ordinary plenary meeting hasn’t been held”. He claimed that the mayor and her team had “disregarded agreements, law and the town itself”.

Meanwhile, sources from the town hall clarified, that during the last informative committee, Rosa Maria Cano made it known to the opposition that she would be on holiday and proposed the plenary meeting be held the week after she returned, something which was accepted, with more or less enthusiasm, by the other parties.

However, Manuel Zamora reportedly failed to attend the committee where this was discussed.
