Chose your own route in new driving test THE Traffic Department (DGT) is preparing a driving test in which candidates will choose their own route for the first ten minutes. The exam will be tried in Madrid, Barcelona, Burgos, Segovia, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Sevilla and Navarra first, and will last at least 25 minutes.
For the first 10, the examiner will give no instructions.The learner driver will be told the result of the exam as soon as it is over, as well as receiving a list of the mistakes made. The head of the DGT, Pere Navarro, explained that it is a better quality exam adapted to European guidelines.
