Hikers visit Almeria on the third day of Eurorando Andalucia 2011

MORE than 700 people took part in three hiking routes on the third day of the Eurorando Andalucia 2011 event.
Two routes were in Cerro del Cinto in the Cabo de Gata area and the third in Fondon, others were carried out from Venta El Serbal-Abla, the Desert Route and Camino de la Loma. Eurorando, which ends on Saturday in Granada, is the main hiking event in Europe, and gathers participants from Andalucia, Spain and the rest of the continent.
The routes are designed so that all kinds of hikers can take part, and choose the one they prefer based on their age and experience. The Walking and Footpath Committees of the European Hiking Association have visited Almeria city’s port, cathedral and the alcazaba.
