High school Glee in La Nucia

HOLLYWOOD came to La Nucia when the Teatro del Sol welcomed students to their newly formed “Glee Club”.

Styled after the award winning TV series in which a group of eager and ambitious McKinley High students strive to win a national singing competition.

Teatro del Sol students will be performing their first Glee show next April on the new Teatro Del Sol Auditori stage alongside a 150 strong Glee choir.

Brainwave of director Rob Barendsma, who recognised that many young people around the Costa would really like to get into the popular Glee mode, Rob is inviting potential students from the age of 10 to 15 and above to contact his associate, Joanne Venet of Dramkidz on 679 646 145 or email teatrodelsol@live.com to audition for what promises to be a fabulous and energetic show, remenisent of their past hit production, “Fame.”

I am told full professional training in vocal and musical talent will be available, plus acting tuition in conjunction with the Dramkidz work shops.

A man of many talented hats, assisted by Joanne, Rob is also directing the kids in The Sound of Music which will be performed at the Auditorium on 27/28 and 29th of January next year.

This busy combination will also be staging an International Choir Christmas concert, accompanied by the La Nucia orchestra on December 11th at the Auditorium. For full details including class fees, phone Joanne or go to web page: www.teatrodelsol.org
