MIJAS Town Hall expects to make €150,000 per year following the legalization of advertising billboards within the municipality.
The town hall has approved a company to manage 80 advertising areas for €150,000 per year. Ten per cent of these will be used by the town hall for municipal information.
When the conservative Partido Popular mayor Angel Nozal began his term of office, he decided to put a stop to excessive signs in the town which he said ‘damaged its image.’ Around 600 of these did not have licenses and were removed from public property.
