BENIDORM’S ‘Citizen of the Year 2011’ was awarded to Francisco Fenoll Rostoll was by Mayor Agustin Navarro.
Francisco was chosen by fellow citizens. He was born in Benidorm on November 19, 1924 and started his working life as a professional fisherman together with his father in the 40s.
Later he worked at Banesto Bank from the age of 38 until he retired. In 1970 he founded the Barqueta Cultural Association.
He has headed town’s festivities on four occasions and is the honorary fisherman at the Carmen Festival.
