A 21-YEAR-OLD Moroccan man was arrested in Merida, Badajoz, charged with killing a retired teacher aged 69 at his home.
Apparently the two had met when the victim was teaching Spanish to immigrants at the Refugee Centre in Merida which closed last year for lack of public funding.
He opened the door to the young man not suspecting that he would stab him several times with a craft knife. He was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery but died several hours later.
The police are investigating the cause of the attack.
