ROVIO the maker behind the popular mobile game, Angry Birds has announced that it has reached 500 million downloads across the various platforms.
In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs.
The Finnish game developer behind the game said it is about to open the world’s first official Angry Birds retail shop in Helsinki, with Angry Birds merchandise a continuously growing business, and that they have already shipped more than 10 million Angry Birds toys worldwide.
The company has also launched print publishing operations, and delivered the first Angry Birds books.
